Civil War Chamberlain "Proffered Wreath"

"The Proffered Wreath" by Don Stivers. The artwork depicts the return of General Chamberlain and the Army of the Potomac to the Capital with Chamberlain's horse being frightened by a woman's efforts to present the General with a wreath. The excellent print is highlighted by skillful mat cutting that draws attention to the brass eagle piece like those that would be worn on thea Union uniform. Included also in the picture is an authentic Civil War Centennial Gettysburg stamp which was issued July 1, 1963. The oak framed picture, with glass, measures 15 1/2 by 12 1/2. It is matted using three mat colors and has a 1/8 inch cut-out line that highlights everything in the picture.
