Civil WaGettysburg, Longstreet, "Forming the Line"

An American Civil War collectible, "Forming the Line" by Mort Kunstler. Lee's best artillerist, General E. Porter Alexander, and Longstreet watched Confederate batteries massing for the July 3 bombardment at Gettysburg. The excellent print is highlighted by skillful mat cutting that draws attention to the brass and silver CSA hat pin like those which would be worn by some Confederate officers. The oak framed picture, with glass, measures 15 1/2 by 12 1/2. It is matted using three mat colors and has a 1/8 inch cut-out line that highlights everything in the picture.
