Those who served in the US Marines should find this picture familiar. The art of the crossed flags of the United States and Marine Corps with the silver and gold Marine emblem is as familiar to Marines as the "Semper Fidelis" motto. The excellent print is highlighted by skillful mat cutting that draws attention to the Marine Corps collar device, the full color Marine medallion and the official 3 cent Iwo Jima postage stamp which was issued on July 11, 1945. The hardwood framed picture, with glass, measures 15 1/2 by 12 1/2. It is matted using three mat colors and has a 1/8 inch cut-out line that highlights everything in the picture.
