Civil War Lee "Twilight at Gettysburg""Twilight at Gettysburg"
An American Civil War collectible, "Twilight at Gettysburg," by Mort Kunstler. At the end of the first day of the battle of Gettysburg, General Robert E. Lee's army of Northern Virginia met with success in capturing Gettysburg Town Square. As the day was coming to a close, Lee rides into town and is met by his cheering troops. The excellent print is highlighted by skillful mat cutting that draws attention to the two brass buttons like those worn on a Confederate officer's uniform. The oak framed picture, with glass, measures 15 1/2 by 12 1/2. It is matted using three mat colors and has a 1/8 inch cut-out line that highlights everything in the picture. Also included is an authentic Robert E. Lee Civil War stamp issued June 26, 1995.
