General "Stonewall" Jackson and his "Foot Calvary" are welcomed by the citizens of Winchester after Jackson's army had liberated them from the Federal troops who had occupied their town. The excellent print is highlighted by skillful mat cutting that draws attention to the CSA brass and silver hat pin like those which would be worn by some Confederate officers. The oak framed picture, with glass, measures 15 1/2 by 12 1/2. It is matted using three mat colors and has a 1/8 inch cut-out line that highlights everything in the picture.
