Norman Rockwell painted this scene for the
June 7, 1924, issue of the Saturday Evening
Post magazine. The theme depicts a bookkeeper
sitting at a desk dreaming of
escaping to a place of high adventure.
This exclusive CPA picture measures
18 3/4 by 15 1/2 inch and is framed with a
solid hardwood frame. Three different mat colors are used
to enhance the artwork of Norman Rockwell
entitled "Escape to Adventure". There is also an exclusive
2 inch goldtone emblem depicting a
hand holding a penstaff writing on a book.
An additional item of interest is included,
a silvertone pen nib that fits
the old style pen staff. This is the same
kind of pen nib shown on the CPA postage stamp.
A First Day of Issue Commemorative Cover
adds to the theme of the picture by
