U.S. NAVAL ACADEMY The Naval School at Annapolis began in October, 1845. The most striking piece of architecture on the Naval Academy campus is the Chapel which at that time cost $400,000. It was completed in 1908. Included is a print of the Academy Chapel, an emblem of the Navy mascot and an official 150th Naval Academy Anniversary postage stamp issued October 10, 1995. The hardwood framed picture, with glass, measures 13 by 16. It is matted using three mat colors and has a 1/8 inch cut-out line that highlights everything in the picture.
