USS Nautilus Class Submarine

DID YOU KNOW? The USS Nautilus (SSN-571) is the most famous submarine in the world. It was a first in many respects, including being the first nuclear submarine (1954), first submarine to navigate under the North Pole (1958) and the first with the ability to remain submerged for weeks at a time due to its nuclear power. It logged more than 500,000 nautical miles during its 25 year career. This 19 inch by 15 1/2 inch hardwood framed picture with 3 colored mats, consists of a submarine patch (USS Nautilus) and a gold tone submarine emblem. Pictured on the maxicard is a Nautilus Class Nuclear Attack Submarine along with a picture of the USS Nautilus patch. There are 3 submarine postage stamps also included in this picture.
