USS Seawolf Class SubmarineDID YOU KNOW?
The Seawolf Class submarine was designed to
be a faster, quieter, better armed and deeper
diving replacement for the Los Angeles Class.
The USS Seawolf (SSN 21) was the first
submarine built using a modular construction.
This made assembly easier, faster and more
cost effective. The 11 sections were built
with each containing the largest equipment
already installed and then all welded together.
This 19 inch by 15 1/2 inch hardwood
framed picture with 3 colored mats, consists of
a submarine patch (USS Seawolf)
and a gold tone submarine emblem. Pictured on
the maxicard is a Seawolf Class Nuclear
Attack Submarine along with a picture of the
USS Seawolf patch. There are 3 submarine
postage stamps also included in this picture.
