Standard Oil Company #1DID YOU KNOW?
One of the greatest technological adventures
of all times is without a doubt off shore
drilling. The first off shore well was drilled
back in 1947, in New Orleans, off the shores
of the Mississippi River. Oil wells on earth
rarely exceed depths over 6,000 feet. The
deepest well in the world was drilled off
shore in Azerbaijan, the depth of which reached
over 51,000 feet. Another off shore wonder-well
was drilled in the Antartic, through over
7,000 feet of ice, which is a world's record.
The United States is the world's first-largest
drilling country involved in off shore drilling.
France is second. Framed in hardwood, the picture measures
16 1/4 x 15 3/4 inches. Three different mat
colors add to the picture's appearance. Included
in this picture is an art print of a Standard
station, a Standard patch, a Commerative
Cover and a 4 cent petroleum industry
stamp issued August 27, 1959.Our Price: $56.00
