Space Shuttle

DID YOU KNOW? The space shuttle, a marvel of technology, travels 31 miles in 2 minutes after lift-off. On re-entry, to keep from burning up, approximately 34,000 heat dissipating tile line the bottom of the space shuttle. The loss of one tile could severely damage the space craft.
